I started my Kalimba journey with a 15 key Kalimba. I quickly realised I needed something more and I spent days researching which one sound the best. I wanted something more mystical and magical and playful and or sharp. And this Kalimba is everything I ever wanted. Beautiful sound, great feeling in your hand and I just love it. Its perfect and definitely can compete with other great brands that offer such Kalimba.

The Hluru EQ Ethereal Wood Base drum with pickup (C major) arrived as scheduled. The box was sturdy, torn on one side, contents in perfect order. This is my first Hluru drum. (I have six other drums.) For the size, the Hluru is not heavy. I like that I can easily move it from room to room. It has a good range of notes, all the tongues in tune. This drum has rich resonance with woody overtones. It’s a mellow drum – with a calming sound. Nothing ear-piercing here. If you want something that sounds like a bell, this is not the drum for you. The crochet covered mallets are well balanced but the sticks I find short, uncomfortable. Number and note stickers were included and a round gray bag with backpack straps. The surprise was a 340-page hard-cover music book. This drum is a work of art. Well done Hluru!

I’ve heard other Panda drums from other companies through friends. I knew I couldn’t afford the $800 models so I was looking for one I could afford and would sound close to an expensive model. This filled the bill. Very pleased with the tone and resonance. I’m very sensitive to out of tune tonal percussion which was my greatest fear on getting a more economical Panda Drum. To my surprise this one is perfectly in tune. About the company, they were great. They sent several emails every step of the way. Up front they said it would take weeks to get here from China but it ended up being less time than indicated. This is the kind of company that is rare these days, they really care about their customer and their opinions of their service and products. I had a great experience here.

The two drums included are both of excellent quality (HLURU 14 Inch 15 Notes Titanium Steel Tongue Drum D Major, HLURU Mini 8 Notes 6 Inch Tongue Drum D5 Tone Best Steel Drum For Beginners), and they can be played together perfectly. We hope you enjoy playing them.
This drum is wonderful! Nice, shiny green color, and soothing sound. Almost all notes sound perfect. 1 or 2 notes are slightly buzzy sounding if I don’t hit the mallet in the exact right spot. But overall, the tone is beautiful. The included song book is not useable for me; I think it might contain songs that are popular in China, because I don’t know any of them. Even the Happy Birthday song is different than the one I know. Perhaps they could make a different song book for customers in the USA with songs that we would know. Instead, I went online and ordered some song books with songs that I am familiar with. Also, the box arrived in poor condition from shipping. The drum was safe and in-tact inside the padded bag without damage, but when the drum has to travel a long way, a better box would probably prevent any potential issues. Other than those few small issues, it’s a great drum with long-ringing tones - so slower songs sound best.

Love my emerald green mini 8 notes 6 inch tongue drum D5 Tone. It has excellent sound. Different mallets give it a different sound, so if you don't like the sound, try a different mallet. The mini came free when I ordered the 15-note emerald green tongue drum. I love the sound of both. Definitely recommend. Thank you! I love my tongue drums!

I was unsure of tuning at first but after getting familiar with the Japanese folk scale I am now enjoying the interesting tones of this drum.

I got this for my son in law, so I can’t speak to the drum but the customer service is excellent, they responded to all of my questions very quickly.
Look elsewhere for the music book though…

I received my gorgeous red 14” 15 note c major drum a few days ago and am really enjoying learning to play it. To be honest, the only thing I’ve learned so far is Amazing Grace but it sounds wonderful. Love the tone, love the color…it’s a great drum.
